We are committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion because intersectionality is important, especially when it comes to therapy.

CSP knows that racism, homophobia, ableism, sexism, and other biases are systemic and are engrained in many of our systems. While we have come far in restructuring our systems and society, we still have so much farther to go. The fight for decolonization and dismantling of the foundation that allows injustice against all marginalized and oppressed communities in America takes time and effort—but we can do it.

It takes community solidarity and work to create a society where all marginalized communities thrive. CSP is committed to anti-racist practices and an intersectional perspective in what we do as a company so we can be a part of the solution together.

  1. We are fully aware of the role we play in society in hiring administrative employees and contracting with therapists to provide care in our diverse community. Clients come from all backgrounds, life experiences, and identities and so should our therapists! We take resumes for independent contractor therapists all the time. Please send your resume to hr@counseling-pdx.com

  2. We are constantly looking for and participating in opportunities to support everyone in marginalized communities.

  3. In recognizing the economic impact on disadvantaged peoples, which disproportionately affects BIPOC, our independent contractor therapists offer discounted rates to those who cannot afford regular rates.

  4. Knowing that there are unique therapeutic challenges in a country where systemic biases exist, our independent contractor therapists are committed to doing the work to support all marginalized people in their times of need by educating themselves to the best of their abilities.

  5. Through our conscious choices to continue to get involved and contribute within our community, we hope to help our culture and society move toward greater equity for all marginalized people.
