Susan Reyes-Torres, LCSW, MDIV
Independent Contractor Therapist
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have worked in the counseling field since 2012, receiving a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from New Mexico Highlands University. I have worked in a variety of settings: Community Clinics, Hospitals, Outpatient Facilities, and Private Practice – focusing on areas of mental health. I also have a Masters of Divinity Degree (MDIV) which has provided me an opportunity to work in the area of grief, loss, and end-of-life issues through chaplaincy and hospice work experience.
I am committed to providing a holistic approach that is client-centered to individual clients. I journey with clients offering emotional support and coping methods to address a variety of concerns. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, reality therapy, solution-focused therapy, as well as strength-based therapy to meet the goals for emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual well-being.
I also work with Couples Therapy to address relationship concerns and develop relationship building skills by increasing communication, becoming emotionally present, and developing greater awareness of self and their partner.
The goal is to care for and seek balance for mind, body, and soul, working on a wide variety of concerns:
Anxiety
Domestic Violence
Relationship Issues
Anger Management
Empowerment Skills
Spirituality
Coping Strategies
Grief/Loss
Substance Use
Depression
Life Transitions
Trauma
I hear you; I validate you; I am honest with you; I equip you; I help you seek solutions.
