Sabine Hyatt, PhD
Independent Contractor Therapist
I am a licensed clinical psychologist and my experience includes working with adults and older adults on depression, anxiety, transitions, and trauma. I focus on the present, with interventions that can alleviate current distress, and the past, which can include old experiences that may still affect people’s lives. I have over a decade of experience working with individuals with complex multifaceted presentations, including medical concerns, relationship difficulties, loneliness, past traumas, cognitive decline and unmet cultural needs.
I have experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including cultural, racial, and gender diversity, as well as differences in country of origin, immigration status and original language. I am fluent in French, and conversational in Arabic.
My treatment style uses cognitive behavioral therapy and interpersonal techniques to identify and challenge the maladaptive thoughts that may have plagued a person’s thinking style for years while maintaining a non-judgemental supportive view of themselves.
