Allyssa Robinson, LCSW
Independent Contractor Therapist
My Approach:
Hi there, my name is Allyssa Robinson and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have a passion to be a part of others finding their strength and resilience. I will come alongside you and work with you to help you achieve the goals that you set. I will join the therapeutic relationship with you with an open mind, empathy, compassion, humor, and a listening ear.
I began my journey into social work wanting to work in the field of adoption and after receiving my first job as a child and family therapist my career direction changed. When I graduated with my masters in social work I received a job at a middle school as a child and family therapist, I found myself falling in love with being a therapist. I love working with others and being a small part in helping them gain the tools and insight to accomplish their goals and live their lives to the fullest. I utilize multiple therapeutic modalities such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills, and more, to help aid you in accomplishing your goals. I strive to create a safe environment for you to be yourself.
You are the expert of your life and I will meet you where you are at.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my Golden Retriever Marley, watching football, spending time outside, sitting down and reading a celebrity memoir, and spending time with those I love.
