Jonelle Richards, LCSW, Owner
After earning my bachelor’s degree in English from Lewis and Clark College and my Master’s of Social Work from Portland State University, I spent over thirty years in solo private therapy practice working with adults, couples and teens, and covering a myriad of issues, with a primary focus on trauma. My experience in solo practice inspired me to found Counseling Services of Portland 12 years ago, to provide support services and community to independent contractor therapists so that they can do their best clinical work without the stresses of running a business. In January of 2022, I retired from clinical practice to focus more on co-leading Counseling Services of Portland. With the support of my wonderful co-owner, Christine McCulloch, and our excellent support staff, to date we have expanded our services to 30 therapists and we are always looking for qualified therapists to join our team. It is our goal to continue to provide excellent services to mental health providers so that they can provide excellent services to their clients.
My interests include reading, writing, gardening, glass art, providing support to the houseless, and animal welfare.
